Ex Entry                                                              

Ex-Entry allows the client to enter an exercise request or a don’t exercise request to the exchange for option contracts.

This topic provides reference about:

Submitting an Exercise Request

  1. Click Trading à Ex Entry. The Ex Entry page is displayed.

  2. Select the EX type.

  3. Click Look Up and select a security you want.

  4. In the Symbol Look Up page, select the Exchange, Instrument type.

  5. Type in the first few letters of the security in Symbol text box e.g. type NIFTY and click Submit. It displays a list of securities whose name begins with NIFTY. Each page displays up to 10 securities. If the list of securities generates more than one page, then you can scroll through multiple pages by selecting the page number.

  6. Select a scrip link from the list. The detail of the selected scrip is populated in the Ex Entry pane.

  7. Type the Quantity.

  8. Click Submit. On confirmation, the Exercise Request is submitted and displayed in the Ex Book pane.

  9. To know more about order status, click Ex Book. The Ex Book pane is displayed with details.

  10. Click Clear to clear the field details, if required.

Net.Net™ supports modifying and canceling pending exercise requests.

Modifying an Exercise Request

  1. To know more about order status, click Ex Book. The Ex Book pane is displayed with details.

  2. Click NSE hyperlink of the exercise request to select the order.

  3. Click Modify. The respective exercise details are displayed.

  4. Modify the required data values.

  5. Click Submit.

Canceling an Exercise Request

  1. To know more about order status, click Ex Book. The Ex Book pane is displayed with details.

  2. Click NSE hyperlink of the exercise request to select the order. Click Cancel.

  3. Click Submit. The respective order is canceled.
